This idea was born through the founder’s Matthew Ryan’s unique insight during his studies in Design Engineering at Imperial College Dyson School London, paired with his practical experience in projectile systems through the sponsorship by the British Army. This has situated him perfectly to come up with the revolutionary pneumatic launcher system that makes the Urban Archery concept possible. Through extensive market and competitive research, we identified a three-part product portfolio, the “Shrike” range, which caters to three different ranges of customers - from beginner to advanced level - who together form the potential of £500,000 in sales annually. People are freed from joining a club or range, and this leads to Urban Archery becoming a social game for anybody.
